Latest Review: Boucher's Wood River Inn, Wyoming, RI

photo of Boucher's Wood River Inn, Wyoming, RIThe latest review on the Boston's Hidden Restaurants Web site is for Boucher's Wood River Inn, a restaurant in Wyoming, Rhode Island. Located just off Route 95 between the Providence area and the Connecticut border, Boucher's Wood River Inn is one of the only dining options along this stretch of highway. The restaurant is housed in a rustic 19th-century building that is cozy and comfortable. The menu at Boucher's Wood River Inn is mostly traditional American fare, with soups, salads, and sandwiches, as well as more substantial entrees. Boucher's Wood River Inn may be conveniently located and quaint, however the food was less than mediocre and our waitress was awful. She took our order and disappeared, didn't see her again till our food was served and then she she dissappeared again. never asking how our meal was. we didn't see her again till it was time for the bill. AND we actually had ask the bartender where our waitress was and if we could have our bill. I don't know about any one else but when I go out for lunch I like a little attention from my waitress and usually have more than one drink. We were never offered a refill on coffee .....and that was because the waitress was no where to be found. Next time we are in that area we will probably stop at one of the Chinese resturants that are on that same stretch of road.
