Ginger Park Replaces Banq in the South End

An upscale Asian-influenced restaurant in the South End of Boston has a new name, a new menu, and a new chef. This past Friday (September 25), Banq, which was located at the intersection of Washington Street and Union Park Street, became Ginger Park, an affordably-priced restaurant featuring modern Asian fare. The chef of this new restaurant is Patricia Yeo, who comes from New York City.

The menu at Ginger Park includes such items as naan crisps, a papaya and mango salad, lentil and green chili fritters, vegetable spring rolls, pork and shrimp water dumplings, duck meatballs in a curry sauce, cocoa and peanut-glazed shortribs, grilled flank steak, and spicy duck fat fried potatoes. Desserts include Thai coffee panna cotta and doughnuts. Prices are mostly between $10 and $20 for each dish, with sides being under $10.

The address for this restaurant is: Ginger Park, 1375 Washington Street, Boston, MA, 02118. The phone number is (617) 451-0077. And for now, the Web site is at the old Banq site at: http://banqrestaur.web151.discountasp.net/
