A event that celebrates and showcases the Boston-area Armenian community is coming to Watertown in September, and it will include traditional Armenian food as well as live music and more.

An email sent to us by Image Unlimited Communications indicates that the first ever Armenian Street Fair & Festival will be held on Saturday, September 11 and Sunday, September 12 at The Armenian Cultural and Educational Center (ACEC) on Nichols Avenue in East Watertown. The event will feature Armenian dishes from food vendors such as Eastern Lamejun, Fastachi, and Massis Bakery, and there will also be an art exhibit, an historical exhibit, music from several performers, and a children's section.

Hours for the event will be 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM on Saturday, September 11, and 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, September 12. Ticket prices are $10 for adults for a one-day pass ($15 for both days) and $4 for children between the ages of 2 and 12 for a one-day pass ($6 for both days). Children under the age of 2 are free.
