Beyond Bubbie's Kitchen Returns to Boston, January 30, 2011

A culinary event that focuses on the updating of traditional Jewish recipes is coming back to Boston in January of 2011, with 15 local chefs participating.

According to the New Center For Arts & Culture website, Beyond Bubbie's Kitchen will be held at 5:30 PM on Sunday, January 30, 2011, at the Moakley Courthouse on the Boston waterfront. Chefs from the area will be giving demonstrations of dishes for sampling at the event, and guests will be given recipe booklets that include the items created over the course of the evening.

Participants at the 2011 Beyond Bubbie's Kitchen event include chefs from American Seaasons, Bin 26, Craigie on Main, Eastern Standard, Estragon, The Fireplace, Journeyman, Lala Rokh, La Morra, Lumiere, Oishii, Ole, Om, Russell House Tavern, Stella, and Upstairs on the Square.

In 2009, Beyond Bubbie's Kitchen was held at Artists For Humanity on West 2nd. Street in South Boston (on September 13).

Tickets to Beyond Bubbie's Kitchen cost $136 ($36 for young adults--39 years old or younger).
