Yet another new restaurant is coming to Quincy, and this one will be replacing a dining spot that has been in the downtown area for more than 25 years.
According to The Patriot Ledger, Remick's is going to be opening at the corner of Hancock Street and School Street at the southern edge of Quincy Center, moving into the space where Finian's Restaurant has been since 1983. The article states that Remick's takes its name from a long-closed department store that had been in Quincy Center for many years. The new restaurant will have a capacity of 156, according to the Patriot Ledger.
Finian's Restaurant has been a popular family-friendly neighborhood spot over the years, featuring American classics and comfort food such as French onion soup, chicken cordon bleu, sirloin steak, turkey dinner, and macaroni and cheese. The eatery has also offered a wide array of mixed drinks as well as beer and wine. Our sister site (Boston's Hidden Restaurants) has featured Finian's with the review being found below:http://www.hiddenboston.com/Finians.html
There doesn't appear to be a specific opening date for Remick's at this time; as soon as we find out more information on the restaurant, we will post an update here.
