More Restaurants May Be on the Way to Fan Pier on the Waterfront

Two more office buildings are getting ready to be built along the Boston waterfront, and with it, a good amount of space for restaurants.

According to the New England Real Estate Journal, ground has been broken on a couple of 18-story buildings at Fan Pier. The article mentions that the buildings will consist of more than 1 million square feet of research and office space, as well as 60,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space on the ground floor. At this point, it seems to be too early to know of any specific dining spots that may be moving into the buildings, as it could be at least two years before they are complete, but if we hear of any possible restaurants showing interest in the area, we will post an update here.

Once work on the buildings is complete, visitors to the Fan Pier development will find new streets and sidewalks, a new water transportation dock, and public restrooms.

Currently, several restaurants can be found in and around Fan Pier, including Strega Waterfront, Sam's at Louis, and Caffe di Marina.
