Trina's Starlite Lounge in Somerville Is Opening Parlor Sports

Two years after first opening its doors on the Somerville/Cambridge border near Inman Square, a Southern-influenced restaurant and bar is getting ready to open a new spot next to it.

According to the Boston Business Journal, the folks behind Trina's Starlite Lounge on Beacon Street plan to open Parlor Sports, which looks to be a "cowboy-style" bar with an emphasis on sporting events being shown on flat-screen TVs. The article mentions that the new watering hole, which may be open by the middle of October, will offer bar snacks as well as craft beer, cocktails, and shots of liquor.

[November 1 update: According to Thrillist, Parlor Sports is planning to open this Thursday (November 3). Thanks to food/drinks writer MC Slim JB for bringing this to our attention.]

[November 4 update: Parlor Sports is now open.]

Trina's Starlite Lounge first opened in September of 2009, bringing to the Inman Square area a place to get Southern comfort food as well as a variety of cocktails and beers.

The address for this new bar in Somerville is: Parlor Sports, 1 Beacon Street, Somerville, MA, 02143.
