Highlights for the Week Ending October 7, 2011
A number of stories centering around the Boston-area restaurant scene came out over the past week, including a music club and lounge closing, a 3,999-pound plate of nachos created by a local restaurant chain, and a tortilla bakery opening just north of the city. In addition, our sister site (Boston's Hidden Restaurants) had a new blog review of a seafood restaurant on the Outer Cape as well as a photo slideshow of great pizzas in the Boston area and a photo of a "magic cube" from a new dessert stand in Allston.
Below are links to these and other items from the past week:

Boston Restaurant Talk's blog has showed me different sides of the restaurant industry. There is as many openings as well as closings of restaurants going on. That tells me it is all about the location and cost. The blog also gives a list of the best dining spots in Boston. It is great connivence for people in the Boston area to just be able to hop on their computer and get a tasty spot to dine out.
