Tavern Road Is Opening in Boston's Fort Point Neighborhood

A new restaurant is coming to the Fort Point section of Boston, and the people behind it are two brothers who are known among the local dining scene.

The Fort Point Neighborhood Association is reporting that a meeting and discussion is being held tonight on Farnsworth Street to look into the proposal of Tavern Road opening in the former Blue Wave space on Congress Street. A blurb from the Bloglovin' site indicates that Louis and Michael DiBiccari are behind the planned dining spot; Louis DiBiccari is known for his Chef Louie Night interactive dining series (and is also the chef at Storyville in the Back Bay), while his brother Michael is a manager at Eastern Standard in Kenmore Square.

As soon as we find out more on the place, we will post an update here.

[February 2, 2013 update: Tavern Road's Facebook page is showing that the dining spot is currently hiring and is planning to open sometime this month. The place will be a "modern, hip, high energy restaurant and bar," according to its page.]

[February 25, 2013 update: A press release sent to us indicates that Tavern Road opens today.]

The address for this new restaurant is: Tavern Road, 343 Congress Street, Boston, MA, 02210. Their website will be at http://www.tavernroad.com/
