Bernard's Is Moving from The Mall at Chestnut Hill to The Street Chestnut Hill

A Chinese restaurant that has called The Mall at Chestnut Hill its home for nearly a quarter century is going to be moving a short distance east.

The Boston Herald is reporting that Bernard's plans to move into the redeveloped Chestnut Hill Shopping Center (called The Street Chestnut Hill), which is also home to a Shake Shack as well as future locations of Davio's and Del Frisco's. There does not appear to be a specific date for the move, though based on the estimated opening dates for the other restaurants at the shopping center, it is possible that the move could take place sometime in the spring of 2013.

[April 29, 2013 update: One of our sources tells us that Bernard's is now open in its new home.]

The article that mentions the move by Bernard's discusses new restaurants being planned for The Mall at Chestnut Hill, so stay tuned for updates on that as well.
