Shanti Is Opening in Roslindale

The people behind an Indian restaurant in Dorchester (as well as a now-closed spot in Cambridge) are opening a second location of their Savin Hill eatery, with this one coming to another neighborhood of Boston.

Universal Hub has confirmed what a poster on the Chowhound site recently said, that Shanti on Dorchester Avenue will soon be joined by another Shanti in Roslindale. The new restaurant will take over the Washington Street space where Cafe Rialto had been until closing this past fall.

The folks who own Shanti also ran the recently-closed OM Restaurant and Lounge in Cambridge's Harvard Square. It is not known whether that spot will ever reopen.

The original location of Shanti is a dining spot that our sister site (Boston's Hidden Restaurants) has featured as an under-the-radar restaurant. A review of it can be found below:
