Legal Crossing Is Opening at Millennium Place in Downtown Boston

The person behind a local group of seafood restaurants is planning to open a new dining spot in the heart of downtown Boston.

The Boston Herald is reporting that Roger Berkowitz of Legal Sea Foods is looking to open a new restaurant concept at the upcoming Millennium Place complex at Washington Street and Avery Street, which is expected to open sometime this fall. There appears to be little other information on the upcoming eatery from the chain (including an exact name for the place), so keep checking back for updates.

[June 6 update: A more recent article in the Boston Herald mentions that a new restaurant from Legal Sea Foods is indeed coming to Millennium Place, and it will be called Legal Crossing. The article says that the new spot, which plans to open in November, will feature special amenities at The Club, which will include a private dining room with a special menu and an owner's lounge for residents of the upcoming complex. (Thanks to the Boston Hospitality and Tourism Industry Blog for bringing this to our attention.)]

[March 10, 2014 update: The Boston Hospitality and Tourism Industry Blog states that Legal Crossing will be opening on March 13.]

[March 12, 2014 update: A press release confirms that Legal Crossing opens tomorrow (Thursday, March 13), though it will only be open for dinner tomorrow and Friday, with lunch and dinner being served starting Saturday.]

The Legal Sea Foods chain has locations at Long Wharf, Park Square, Copley Place, the Prudential Center, and Logan Airport, along with Legal Harborside and Legal Test Kitchen restaurants in the Seaport District and a Legal C Bar at Logan Airport. (Other locations of the chain can be found outside of the Boston city limits as well.) The website for Legal Sea Foods is at http://www.legalseafoods.com/
