Tamarind Bay in Brookline to Close May 11; Ribelle Coming Soon

In late 2012, we reported that an Indian restaurant in Brookline was going to be closing, with a new eatery opening in its space. Now we have learned that the dining spot will be closing this weekend.

Eater Boston is reporting that Tamarind Bay on Beacon Street is planning to close on Saturday (May 11) after being in business for a little under five years. A new restaurant called Ribelle is going to be moving into the Washington Square spot, with the folks behind Strip-T's in Watertown opening the place, though no specific opening date has been given as of yet. The original location of Tamarind Bay in Cambridge's Harvard Square remains open.
