The Meat House in Brookline Is Closing

A New England-based chain of butcher shops had decided to close one of its Boston-area locations.

According to a post on its Facebook page, The Meat House in Brookline is shutting down on June 2 after being in business for nearly three years. The store, which is located on Beacon Street in Coolidge Corner, is one of four in the area, with others being in Arlington, Beverly, Chelmsford, and North Andover. It appears that these shops will remain open, based on the Facebook post.

The Meat House opened its first store in Portsmouth, NH, in 2003 and now has locations in 10 states, including in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and New York. The shops sell a variety of goods, including meat, cheese, wine, marinades, produce, baked goods, and prepared meals.

The address for this soon-to-close butcher shop in Brookline is: The Meat House, 1285 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA, 02446. The website for the company can be found at: http://www.themeathouse.com/
