Highlights for the Week Ending August 9, 2013

A few more stories and articles centering on the Boston-area restaurant scene came out over the past week, including a popular food magazine including two Boston-area restaurants among its nominees for best new spots, the owner of a now-closed restaurant in Somerville planning to open a sandwich shop, and a nut shop in Watertown coming to Beacon Hill. In addition, our sister site (Boston's Hidden Restaurants) included an updated review of a Japanese dining spot in Roslindale, a new slideshow on sandwiches in the Boston area and beyond, and a photo of a pasta dish from a lakeside restaurant west of the city.
