Construction on the 1265 Main Development in Waltham Comes to a Halt

Work on a large mixed-use development west of Boston that will include at least a few restaurants has come to a screeching halt.

The Waltham News Tribune is reporting that construction on 1265 Main at the former Polaroid site has been suspended "indefinitely" because the largest tenant in the 280,000-square-foot complex--Market Basket--is going through family-based litigation issues. Because of this, the developers of the project are no longer receiving payment, resulting in work coming to a sudden stop.

1265 Main has plans to include office space, retail shops, and restaurants, with dining spots including Jake n Joes Sports Grille, Bonefish Grill, and Starbucks, according to the article. The site is located where Main Street (Route 117) intersects Route 128.
