Food Truck Policy Now in Place for Needham

The town of Needham has approved a set of regulations for food trucks, which will now allow them to set up in various parts of the community.

The Needham Times is reporting that the Board of Selectmen finalized a set of rules for food trucks, which up to this point have not been allowed to be in any part of town except for a piece of land on 2nd Avenue where a "somewhat informal arrangement" has been in place. Under the approved regulations, food trucks will now be able to set up in specific parts of Needham that do not have much in the way of restaurants (and they would have to be at least 200 feet away from dining spots), with the trucks being allowed to operate Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM between April and November.

The application period for food trucks will begin on December 1.
