The Ugly Mug Diner Is Opening in Salem

The folks behind a popular North Shore restaurant and bar are opening a new eatery, with this one being a place to get "brunchy" foods all day long.

A note sent by North Shore Dish indicates that Diane and Lee Wolf of the Lobster Shanty on Front Street in Salem are going to open The Ugly Mug Diner in the Washington Street space where A Taste of Thyme Cafe had been. It appears that the diner will offer breakfast throughout the day, along with soups, sandwiches, and burgers, with dinner specials also being available. The Wolfs are looking to get capital for The Ugly Mug Diner in several ways, including the crowdfunding website RocketHub, with the goal being to raise $50,000 through that site by the end of this month.
