Johnny's Luncheonette in Newton Sold to Former Owners of Nourish in Lexington

A retro diner in Newton Centre has been sold to the owners of a now-closed eatery in Lexington.

The blog for the Newton TAB is reporting that Johnny's Luncheonette on Langley Road has changed hands after more than 20 years in business, with owners John Furst and Neal Solomon selling the eatery to Kevin and Karen Masterson, who used to own Nourish on Mass. Ave. in Lexington Center (Il Casale Cucina Campana + Bar will be moving into that space). The article says that the menu at Johnny's will remain the same, and the new owners will keep the current staff at the place.

Johnny's Luncheonette features classic American fare and diner food, with such items as burgers, hot dogs, club sandwiches, reubens, chili, macaroni and cheese, frappes, and rice pudding offered on the menu.

The address for Johnny's is 30 Langley Road, Newton, MA, 02459. Its website can be found at http://www.johnnysluncheonette.com/
