Committee (Mediterranean Restaurant) Is Opening at Boston's Fan Pier

It looks like a new Mediterranean restaurant is on its way to the Boston waterfront.

Universal Hub is reporting that George Aboujaoude of Cafeteria in the Back Bay and the Bijou Nightclub in the Theatre District will be opening Committee at the Fan Pier development, with the dining spot featuring meze (small plates/appetizers) and "hand-crafted" cocktails. The restaurant is part of a buildout of Fan Pier, which will also become home to a Starbucks and a daycare center.

If all goes as planned, Committee could be opening sometime this fall, according to UH.

[May 27, 2015 update: The Boston Business Journal states that Committee is now planning to open in early June, and that the 5,500-square-foot space will include wood that was recovered from the nearby (and now-closed) landmark restaurant Anthony's Pier 4.]

[June 11, 2015 update: UrbandDaddy says that Committee opens its doors on Monday, June 15 (Ed Note--it will open at 5:00 PM).]

The address for Committee is 50 Northern Avenue, Boston, MA, 02210.
