United for Boston's Own to Be Held at Mike's City Diner in Boston, April 14, 2014

A group of some of the best chefs in the Boston area are going to be joining together to raise money for the families of Lt. Edward Walsh and Firefighter Michael Kennedy, who lost their lives in a Back Bay fire last week.

On Monday, April 14 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, United for Boston's Own will take place at Mike's City Diner on Washington Street in Boston's South End, with chefs Jamie Bissonnette, Monica Glass, Jay Hajj, Ken Oringer, Michael Scelfo, Michael Schlow, Mike Smith, Ming Tsai, and Ting Yen creating a nine-course seated dinner that has each chef preparing a separate course. A total of 60 seats will be available, with tickets being $500 each (100% of the proceeds will be going to the Walsh-Kennedy Memorial Fund). For those who won't be able to attend the event, donations are also being accepted.
