Tatte Bakery and Cafe Is Opening in Cafe Vanille Space in Boston's Beacon Hill

The Beacon Hill location of a French bakery and pastry shop is closing, with another local group of bakeries and cafes moving in.

An article in the Beacon Hill Times from several weeks back confirms some recent chatter on Twitter (including a post from @eastiestrong), that Cafe Vanille on Charles Street is shutting its doors and being replaced by a location of Tatte Bakery and Cafe. It appears that the locations of Cafe Vanille in Chestnut Hill and Duxbury will remain in operation, with the article saying that the lease on their Beacon Hill shop had expired.

Once it opens, the new location of Tatte will join four others, including their original one in Brookline and three others in Cambridge.

[January 21, 2015 update: Eater Boston mentions that the new location of Tatte in Boston's Beacon Hill is planning to open in late February.]

[March 2, 2015 update: According to a post from the Boston Hospitality and Tourism Industry Blog, the new Beacon Hill location of Tatte opens tomorrow (Tuesday, March 3).]

Cafe Vanille first opened its Beacon Hill location in 1999.

The address for the new location of Tatte is 70 Charles Street, Boston, MA, 02114.
