Cilantro Is Opening in Cambridge

It looks like a new restaurant may be on its way to the section of Cambridge between Harvard Square and Central Square.

According to a License Commission General Hearing page within the City of Cambridge website, Cilantro is seeking a Common Victualler License to open at 1105 Mass. Ave., which is home to several other businesses, including restaurants such as Zoe's and Dolphin. The post says that the proposed eatery would offer food and non-alcoholic drinks and would have seating for 64; it also looks like the dining spot may be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, with proposed hours being 11:00 AM to 1:00 AM.

It is not known exactly which space Cilantro would go into, nor is it known what type of cuisine it will offer; as soon as we find out more, we will post an update here. (The hearing will be taking place this evening.)

[December 1 update: Eater Boston states that Cilantro is now open, and it features Chinese cuisine (including a good amount of Chinese-American fare).]
