Shanghai Jade Is Opening in the Former Zenna Noodle Bar Space in Brookline

A new Chinese restaurant is on its way to Brookline, moving into the space where an Asian fusion bar used to be.

The Brookline TAB is reporting that Shanghai Jade is planning to open on Beacon Street in the Coolidge Corner neighborhood, taking over the former Zenna Noodle Bar site (Zenna closed last fall). The article says that the new eatery will have seating for 40 plus an additional six seats outside during the warmer months, and it also mentions that the restaurant will not have a bar.

There does not appear to be a specific opening date for Shanghai Jade, though it does have clearance from the town to open, as the Brookline Board of Selectmen approved its application earlier this week.

[October 6 update: A poster on the Chowhound site mentions that Shanghai Jade is now open, and it features dim sum and noodle dishes.]

The address for this new Chinese restaurant in Coolidge Corner is: Shanghai Jade, 1374 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA, 02446.
