Crudo Is Opening in Former Pulcinella Space in Boston's North End

It looks like a new Asian restaurant is on its way to the North End of Boston, taking over the space where a mozzarella bar had been.

NorthEndWaterfront.com is reporting that Sushi Rock LLC is planning to open a dining spot on Salem Street, with the eatery moving into the former Pulcinella Mozzarella Bar and Ristorante space (a note earlier today from ConciergeBoston confirmed that Pulcinella closed awhile back). It is not yet known for sure if the new restaurant will be called Sushi Rock or whether that's simply the business name of the applicant; as soon as we find out what it will be called, we will post an update here.

[September 23 update: It has still not been confirmed whether Sushi Rock will be the name of this dining spot, but more information will likely come out by tomorrow, as NorthEndWaterfront.com says that a meeting will take place this evening to discuss the restaurant's plans.]

[March 16, 2015 update: Eater Boston mentions that the new restaurant coming to the former Pulcinella space will be called Crudo, not Sushi Rock, though it will still be featuring sushi.]

[June 29, 2015 update: A new article from Eater Boston states that Crudo opens today at 5:00 PM.]

Pulcinella Mozzarella Bar and Ristorante first opened in the Salem Street space in August of 2012.

The address for this new Asian restaurant in the North End is 78-80 Salem Street, Boston, MA, 02113.
