Jimmy John's Is Opening Near North Station in Boston

An Illinois-based chain of gourmet sandwich shops continues its expansion plans through Boston, with another new location now planned for a busy part of the city.

The Boston Hospitality and Tourism Industry Blog is reporting (via a Licensing Board page) that Jimmy John's is planning to open near North Station, possibly at The Victor, which is a luxury residential building on Beverly Street across the street. Currently, two other locations of the chain are also in the works--one on Park Drive in the Audubon Circle neighborhood along with another on Western Avenue in Allston-Brighton, with all three eventually joining the first shop to open in the area--at the Flats on D apartment complex on D Street in South Boston.

[March 3, 2015 update: Eater Boston states that Jimmy John's has opened its new location near North Station, though the address for it is 60 Valenti Way, not Beverly Street.]

Jimmy John's opened its first shop in Charleston, IL back in 1983 and now has nearly 2,000 locations in the United States. The website for the chain can be found at https://www.jimmyjohns.com/
