A Cat Cafe May Come to South Boston in 2015

Last year we reported that a cat cafe could be on its way to Boston. Now we have learned that while it seems those plans have apparently not progressed, it is still possible that the city could see a cat cafe later next year.

Boston Magazine mentions that Amanda Davis, a Brown graduate student, has started a fundraising campaign to help open a cat cafe in South Boston called Le Chat Noir, with the goal being to raise $65,000 by January 21. The article says that the cafe would have a $5 cover charge and would feature a coffee bar out front with baked goods, tea, and lattes, while a separate room would be home to 10 cats. It appears that there will also be a limit of 10 customers within the cafe.) If all goes as planned, the cat cafe could be opening in November of 2015.

It is not yet known exactly where the cat cafe might be located; as soon as we find out more information, we will post an update here.
