Christo's Building in Brockton Demolished

The building where a landmark restaurant had been for many years has officially vanished from the landscape.

The Enterprise is reporting that the old Christo's property on Crescent Street in Brockton was razed this week, with the plans being to build a new science center for Massasoit Community College in the space. Christo's closed its doors for good at the end of 2013 after being in business for nearly 50 years, though the family recently opened a new takeout spot nearby in Whitman called Christo's to Go! (Another new restaurant from the family could be in the works as well, though there have been no recent updates on this.)

Christo's was a Greek and American dining spot that first opened back in 1964.
