Tornado Restaurant and Lounge in Malden Has Closed

A dining and drinking spot north of Boston has closed its doors after being in business for just over a year.

According to a poster on the Chowhound site (and confirmed by the restaurant's website), Tornado Restaurant and Lounge in Malden is now shuttered, with a note on the site simply saying "Closed: Thank you everyone for all your support." The Florence Street eatery focused on Asian-inspired tapas, including such items as tomato-lemongrass soup, pork buns, fish tacos, oysters Rockefeller, seared avocados, and pan-seared duck breast. It first opened in November of 2013 in the space where Guadalajara Mexican Grill and Bar had once been.

The address for this now-closed dining spot in Malden was: Tornado Restaurant and Lounge, 2 Florence Street, Malden, MA, 02146.
