Restoration Hardware in Boston's Back Bay Plans to Sell Off Its Liquor License

Nearly two years after first opening its doors in the Back Bay of Boston, a California-based luxury home furnishings chain has still not opened a planned restaurant within its store, and now it looks like it may get rid of its liquor license.

According to a Boston Licensing Board page, Restoration Hardware on Berkeley Street is seeking to transfer its beer and wine license to the Paramount on Broadway in South Boston, with a Twitter post from @planetsouthie explaining that the Paramount would then sell its current liquor license to an unnamed restaurant also on Broadway in Southie. It is not yet known if RH will still try to open a dining spot within its Back Bay store at some point; as soon as we find out more, we will post an update here.

Restoration Hardware first opened its Boston store in March of 2013.

The address for Restoration Hardware is 234 Berkeley Street in Boston's Back Bay, while the address for the Paramount is 667 E Broadway in South Boston.
