Beat Da Wrap in Waltham Closes After Paying Overdue Taxes; Health Department to Void License

A sandwich shop in Waltham that was in trouble with the city for taxes owed has closed.

According to an article in the Waltham News Tribune, Beat Da Wrap on Waverly Oaks Road is no longer in operation, having shut down on March 19 after paying approximately $3,800 in overdue personal property taxes. An earlier City of Waltham meeting minutes page stated that the Waltham Board of Health voted to close the eatery for operating without a license unless the taxes were paid by March 3, though the News Tribune article says that the Board of Health is going to void the license of the now-closed spot. (It may be that the minutes page was implying that the board would void the license if back taxes weren't paid, but it is not known for sure.)

Beat Da Wrap first opened in January of 2011.

The address for this now-closed sandwich shop was: Beat Da Wrap, 411 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA, 02452.
