Red Robin Is Opening in Braintree

A Seattle-based chain of gourmet burger restaurants is expanding a bit closer to Boston.

According to a job listing within the Craigslist site, Red Robin is planning to open in Braintree and is currently looking for a manager. It is not known where in Braintree the restaurant will open, nor is it known exactly when it will open--though the job posting says it will be "soon." Once it does open, the dining spot will be the first to come to the Boston area, with other locations in the region being in Foxboro, Plymouth, Wareham, Millbury, Salem, NH, Nashua, NH, and Warwick, RI.

Red Robin, which first started out in 1969, offers more than 20 burgers on its menu as well as chili, clam chowder, chicken sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, and more. Its website can be found at http://www.redrobin.com/

[March 11 update: Based on a blueprint of the mall's current lease plan, it looks like Red Robin is going into the lower level of the South Shore Plaza, moving into the space where Legal Sea Foods had been before it moved across the street. (Thanks to a commenter for bringing this to our attention.)]

[October 15 update: According to a Twitter post from @FoodserviceEast, Red Robin opens in Braintree on October 26.]
