Rosie's Bakery in Cambridge's Inman Square Has Closed

A decades-old bakery in Cambridge has closed its doors, though it appears that its other locations remain open for business.

Universal Hub is reporting (via a Twitter post) that Rosie's Bakery in Inman Square is no longer in operation, as its supplier has "unexpectedly" gone out of business and it has not been able to find a suitable supplier to replace it. There has been some confusion as to whether the locations of Rosie's in Chestnut Hill and Boston's South Station have closed as well, but calls placed to the South Station and Chestnut Hill shops indicate that they are still open.

[March 16 update: A source within the restaurant industry has told us that the Chestnut Hill location of Rosie's is now up for sale, with the plan apparently being for the owners to retire.]

Rosie's Bakery, which first started out 38 years ago, features a variety of baked goods and sweet treats, including cakes, pies, tarts, cupcakes, cookies, and more.

The address for this now-closed bakery in Inman Square was: Rosie's Bakery, 243 Hampshire Street, Cambridge, MA, 02139. http://rosiesbakery.com/
