Hops N Scotch in Brookline to Add a Roof Deck

A restaurant and bar in one of the busiest parts of Brookline is going to be the first dining/drinking spot in town to have a roof deck, though it won't be happening just yet.

The Brookline TAB is reporting that the Zoning Board of Appeals has approved of plans for Hops N Scotch in Coolidge Corner to open a seasonal outdoor roof deck that would have seating for 36 and a total of 9 tables with umbrellas, with a safety railing and planter boxes being a part of it. The deck won't be ready this year, but if all goes as planned, the people behind the Beacon Street restaurant hope to have it open in time for the warmer months of 2016.

Hops N Scotch first opened in Brookline in August of 2012, with a second one opening earlier this month in the Inman Square neighborhood of Cambridge.

The address for the Coolidge Corner location of Hops N Scotch is 1306 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA, 02446. Its website can be found at http://www.hopsnscotchbar.com/
