CONFIRMED: Rosso B. in Boston Has Closed

[Ed note: This article was updated on May 18 to reflect confirmation that the place has closed.]

It looks like a pizzeria in downtown Boston that opened earlier this year has closed its doors.

According to a veteran poster within the Chowhound site, Rosso B. on Blackstone Street near Haymarket and Faneuil Hall is shuttered, with a "generic 'closed'" sign out front. Calls placed to the eatery have gone directly to voicemail all day today, even though they are supposed to be open on Thursdays, and a check on their website indicates that it is still running, though no information on its closure has been given.

As soon as we find out if Rosso B. has indeed closed for good, we will post an update here.

[May 18 update: An article in The Boston Globe confirms that Rosso B. has indeed closed, with the owner having no plans to return to the restaurant scene at this point in time.]

The address for Rosso B. is 120 Blackstone Street, Boston, MA, 02108. Its website can be found at http://rossob.us/
