Applebee's at Cleveland Circle in Brighton to Close June 30

A location of a casual restaurant chain that is particularly popular with college students is getting ready to close forever.

Universal Hub is reporting (via a Facebook events page) that Applebee's at Cleveland Circle near the Boston College campus in Brighton is shutting down at the end of business hours on June 30, with the reason being that the dining spot has been unable to renew its lease. The events page post mentions that the dining spot will be selling burgers for $5.99 until they close and drink specials will also be offered as well, and that "All of our artifacts on the walls are also for sale and going fast."

Once it closes, the Applebee's building will remain empty until it is demolished as part of a project to build a new complex with senior-citizen housing and a hotel, according to UH.

The address for the soon-to-close Applebee's at Cleveland Circle is 381 Chestnut Hill Avenue, Brighton, MA, 02135.
