Armenian Market and Bakery in Watertown Has Closed

One of the relatively few Armenian markets in the Boston area has closed its doors.

According to posters on the Chowhound site, Armenian Market & Bakery in East Watertown is shuttered, with Yelp seeming to confirm this. (A check on its website indicates that is still up, though the phone is disconnected.) The Elm Street market offered items such as lamejun and shawarma along with groceries, sandwiches, olives, coffee, and more.

Armenian Market & Bakery first opened in February of 2012.

The address for this now-closed market in East Watertown was: Armenian Market & Bakery, 23 Elm Street, Watertown, MA, 02472.
