Pho Pasteur Is Opening in Quincy

A Vietnamese restaurant in downtown Boston is going to be opening a second location south of the city.

According to a poster on the Chowhound site, Pho Pasteur is planning to open a new outlet in Quincy, with the restaurant's website confirming this--though the Hancock Street address given by the person on Chowhound has not yet been confirmed. The website for the dining spot says that the new location plans to open this winter, and it currently refers diners back to the original location at 682 Washington Street in Boston's Chinatown.

It does not appear that Pho Pasteur in Chinatown--which first opened in the early 1990s--is connected with the group of restaurants called Le's that had formerly been locations of Pho Pasteur. (Locations of Le's can be found in Cambridge's Harvard Square and Allston along with Pho Le in Dorchester, and there had been a location of Le's/Pho Pasteur in Chestnut Hill and a Pho Pasteur in both the Back Bay and Needham.)

The website for Pho Pasteur can be found at http://phopasteurboston.net/

[November 10 update: Boston Magazine confirms (via a license hearing page) that the new Pho Pasteur will indeed be located at 1412 Hancock Street in Quincy Center.]

[January 2, 2017 update: A message sent from @footballfacts states that Pho Pasteur has opened in Quincy.]
