Happy Lamb Hot Pot Is Opening in Cambridge's Central Square

A new Asian restaurant is on its way to Cambridge, and it will be moving into the space where a Japanese dining spot had been (and before that, a Cambodian eatery).

Eater Boston is reporting (via a Cambridge licensing board page) that Happy Lamb Hot Pot is planning to open in the city's Central Square neighborhood, taking over the former Yoki/Floating Rock space. The article mentions that the manager listed in the hearing page--Michael Luk--is apparently involved with a small chain called Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot, which has locations in eight states, Canada, China, and Japan.

It is not known when Happy Lamb Hot Pot might be opening or what types of hot pot might be offered there; as soon as we find out more, we will post an update here.

[March 22, 2016 update: A new post from Eater Boston states that Happy Lamb Hot Pot is now open, and it offers hot pot with three kinds of brother along with skewers, steamed rice, sake, and more. It looks like lamb is indeed the focus at the place, based on reviews from Yelp posters (lamb shoulder, lamb skewers, and lamb leg are all mentioned).]

The address for this new restaurant in Central Square is: Happy Lamb Hot Pot, 485 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA, 02139.
