Update: Owners of Lincoln Tavern and Loco Taqueria to Open Capo in South Boston

[Ed note: This article was update a couple of times to reflect new information given, including a name for the place.]

The people who run a couple of restaurants in South Boston will be opening a third spot on the same street.

According to a job posting within the bostonchefs.com site, the group behind Lincoln Tavern & Restaurant and Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar on West Broadway are getting ready to open a new restaurant in the former Family Dollar space nearby. The listing does not mention what kind of eatery it will be, though Eater Boston notes that an earlier Caught in Southie post had indicated that it might be an Italian restaurant. (As soon as we find out for sure what the concept will be, we will post an update here.)

[December 24 update: A Facebook post from Lincoln Tavern & Restaurant indicates that the new dining spot From the Lincoln/Loco team will indeed be an Italian restaurant, and that it plans to open in early 2016. (Thanks to one of our readers for bringing this to our attention.)]

[February 12, 2016 update: According to a source, Capo is having a family and friends soft-opening this evening, though the Capo Facebook page has been taken down; as soon as we confirm the exact name of the place, we will post another update here. (ED NOTE: The name "Capo" has been confirmed.)]

[February 14, 2016 update: A source tells us that it looks like Capo opens to the public tomorrow (Monday, February 15).]

The address for this upcoming restaurant in Southie is 443 W Broadway, Boston, MA, 02127.
