Umai Opens in Former Jasmine Bistro Space in Brighton

A second location of a sushi bar has come to Boston, and it is located in the space in Brighton where a highly-rated upscale dining spot had once been.

Eater Boston is reporting that Umai is now open on Market Street in Brighton Center, taking over the spot where Jasmine Bistro was until closing in September of 2014. As indicated here earlier, the new location of Umai joins its original on Newbury Street in the Back Bay, which has been in business for a bit more than four years.

The now-closed Jasmine Bistro was once featured by our sister site (Boston's Hidden Restaurants) as a place to go for Hungarian, French, and Middle Eastern food. (The review can be found below.)

The address for the new location of Umai is 412 Market Street, Brighton, MA, 02135. The website for the original location in the Back Bay can be found at http://www.umaiboston.com/
