Brian Lesser Involved in Opening of New Restaurant on State Street in Boston

It looks like a new restaurant may be on its way to downtown Boston, and the person behind a number of local dining and drinking spots appears to be involved with it.

According to a hearing notice sent by a source, an unnamed restaurant is seeking a liquor license to operate on State Street, with the address indicating that it may be going into the space where a shoe store called Cuoio had been (Cuoio has another shop on Newbury Street in the Back Bay that is still in operation). The notice mentions that the restaurant would have dining rooms on both the first and second floors, while a roofdeck would have outdoor dining in the warmer months, and it also says that Brian Lesser is the manager; Lesser has been behind and/or involved in such places as Tavern Road, Sweet Cheeks Q, Storyville, Alden & Harlow, Naco Taco, Tunnel, Minibar, and Vine Brook Tavern.

It is not known when this dining spot may be opening, nor is it known what kind of food/drink it will offer; as soon as we find out more (including a name for the place), we will post an update here.
