Fuji at West of Chestnut Is Opening in Quincy Center

The group behind a number of Asian restaurants in Quincy and the local area will be opening yet another in Boston's southern neighbor, and this one will be located in a brand new development in the heart of the city.

The Boston Herald is reporting that Fuji at West of Chestnut is planning to open in Quincy Center and that it is getting its name from a luxury apartment complex by the corner of Chestnut Street and Cottage Avenue (behind Hancock Street on the eastern edge of the downtown area). Once it opens, the new location of Fuji will join several other Quincy spots from JP Fuji Group, including Fuji 1546 Restaurant & Bar, B Cafe, Shabu Restaurant, Bistro Chi, Kama Lounge, and YoCha, along with locations of Fuji at Somerville's Assembly Row and in Cambridge's Kendall Square, and Shabu & Mein, also in Cambridge. (Another location of Fuji is also coming to the Ink Block in Boston's South End. [Ed note: Now open.])
