Update: Great Harvest Bread Co. Moves to New Location in East Lexington

[Ed note: A correction was made to this article, as this is actually a move, not a new opening. (Thanks to one of our Twitter followers for pointing this out to us.)]

A group of bakeries based in Montana with two locations in the Boston area now has a new home for one of its shops.

According to a source, Great Harvest Bread Co. has moved from Lexington Center to East Lexington, heading a couple of miles east to a new space near the Arlington line. Another location of the bakery can be found on Walnut Street in Newtonville, with both offering such breads as old-fashioned white, cinnamon swirl, honey whole wheat, Dakota seeded wheat, and cinnamon chip, along with specialty, seasonal, and batter breads such as challah, cranberry orange, and gingerbread. (The stores also offer sandwiches, muffins, cookies, scones, coffee, and more.)

Great Harvest Bread Co. first started out in Great Falls in 1976 and today has more than 200 franchises across the country; other New England locations can be found in Nashua, NH, North Kingstown, RI, Vernon, CT, and Burlington, VT.

The new address in Lexington for Great Harvest Bread Co. is 233 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, MA, 02420. The website for the group of bakeries is at https://www.greatharvest.com/
