Holly Crab Opens in Allston

Another Cajun seafood restaurant has come to the region, and this one serves food that also has some Asian influences.

According to several sources (including an article from Eater Boston), Holly Crab is now open in Allston, taking over the space on Commonwealth Avenue where the Turkish eatery Saray had been. EB says that the new dining spot focuses on create-your-own versions of spicy seafood dishes commonly found in Louisiana, though there is also a "Vietnamese touch" to the menu, with such items as clam chowder, chicken gumbo, fried oysters, rice balls, catfish, King crab legs, Louisiana blue crab, and more offered. Holly Crab is open only for dinner for the time being, though it may add lunch service at some point.

Another Cajun seafood spot recently opened in the region as well (Shaking Crab in Newton), and a new Louisiana-style seafood restaurant called Loui Loui is soon on its way to Stoneham as well.

The address for this new Cajun seafood restaurant in Allston is: Holly Crab, 1098 Commonwealth Avenue, Allston, MA, 02134.
