Los Amigos to Take Over Boca Grande Space in Brookline's Coolidge Corner

Last month we reported that the people behind a pair of Mexican restaurants were planning to open a third shop in the space where a location of another group of Mexican dining spots resided. Now we have learned that the exact same thing will be happening in another location.

Eater Boston mentions that Los Amigos is going to be opening a new location in the former Boca Grande space on Beacon Street in Brookline's Coolidge Corner, which is what will also be happening in the former Boca Grande space on Washington Street in Brighton Center. Once they open, the two new outlets of Los Amigos will join others in Newtonville and West Roxbury, while Boca Grande is down to two remaining locations in Cambridge.

It is not yet known when the Coolidge Corner location of Los Amigos might open, nor is it known when the Brighton shop will open, though the latter appears to be close to opening.

[April 20 update: A Facebook post from the place indicates that Los Amigos has soft-opened in Brookline.]

[May 12 update: Based on its website as well as recent Facebook posts, Los Amigos in Brookline is now fully open.]

The address for this Mexican restaurant in Brookline's Coolidge Corner is: Los Amigos, 1294 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA, 02446. The website for Los Amigos can be found at http://www.amigosburritos.com/
