Otto Pizza Is Opening in East Arlington

A growing group of pizzerias specializing in gourmet thin-crust pies will be coming to the northwest suburbs of Boston.

According to a photo sent from a source, Otto Pizza is opening in East Arlington, taking over the space on Mass. Ave. where a location of Comella's had been until closing last month. This follows a good amount of chatter within the Facebook page for The Arlington List recently (including from Mia Schneider, who helped confirm this), with people saying that it looked like the Portland-based pizza spot may indeed be on its way to the space. It is not yet known when the new location of Otto may be opening, as the sign in the window simply says "Coming Soon."

Currently, locations of Otto Pizza can be found in Brookline (Coolidge Corner and near BU), Cambridge's Harvard Square, MarketStreet Lynnfield, Newburyport (within Leary's Fine Wine and Spirits), Portland (four), and Yarmouth, ME.

The address for the new Otto in East Arlington is 202 Massachusetts Avenue, Arlington, MA, 02474. The website for all locations can be found at http://www.ottoportland.com/

[February 11 update: The Arlington Advocate is reporting that the new location of Otto in Arlington will have seating for 26 with another 10 to 12 additional seats on an outdoor patio, and it may have beer and wine pending the approval of a liquor license. If all goes well, Otto could be opening sometime in April, according to the article.]

[July 14 update: A post from Your Arlington states that Otto is now open in East Arlington, though work continues to be done on the space and it is takeout-only until Monday, July 18, when it hopes to begin table service.]
