The Braintree Forum is reporting that Jake n Joes Sports Grille is planning to open this fall in Braintree in the former Bugaboo Creek space on John Mahar Highway, with the new location of the restaurant being located next door to an outlet of the Chateau, which is under the same ownership (the Nocera family). Jake n Joes offers a mix of classic American fare, comfort food, and pub grub, including calamari that has been praised by CBS Sports Radio host Damon Amendolara in the past. Locations of the restaurant and bar can be found in Foxboro, Norwood, Waltham, and Woburn.
Bugaboo Creek closed its Braintree restaurant in December, marking the last location of the chain in the Boston area.
