Strip-T's to Open a Grab-and-Go Spot in Watertown

The people behind a nationally-recognized restaurant are planning to open a new spot, and this one looks like it will focus on takeout items for office workers.

According to a job posting within the bostonchefs.com site, Strip-T's in Watertown is going to be "taking on a grab-and-go operation" in a new office building somewhere in town by the end of the year. A new office building called LINX is currently under construction on Arsensal Street near the School Street restaurant, and the project overview page for the development says that a cafe will be located in the atrium, but it is not yet known if this and the new spot from Strip-T's are one and the same. (As soon as we find out more, we will post an update here.)

Strip-T's first started out in the mid-1980s as a cafe, eventually morphing into a high-end casual restaurant that helped put it in the national spotlight. Tim and Paul Maslow, who are behind the eatery, are also behind 1665 Beacon (formerly known as Ribelle) in Brookline.

The website for Strip-T's can be found at http://www.stripts.com/
