California Pizza Kitchen to Open at MarketStreet Lynnfield

A chain of pizza restaurants with four locations in the Greater Boston area is going to be opening a new outlet, and this one will reside in a growing development north of the city.

According to the directory page within the development's website, California Pizza Kitchen is planning to open at MarketStreet Lynnfield, joining other locations at the Prudential Center in Boston's Back Bay and in Braintree, Natick, and Wellesley. An exact opening date has not yet been given, with the page simply saying it will open sometime this year.

The California Pizza Kitchen chain first started out in the 1980s and is currently headquartered in Los Angeles; a couple of its other Boston-area locations have closed over the past few years, including one within the State Transportation Building by Park Plaza in Boston and another at the CambridgeSide Galleria in East Cambridge. Its website can be found at http://www.cpk.com/

MarketStreet Lynnfield, which is located just north of Route 128 off of Walnut Street, is home to such dining and drinking spots as Boloco, Davio's, FuGaKyu, Gaslight, Kings, Legal C Bar, OTTO Pizza, Sweetgreen, Temazcal, Wagamama, Wahlburgers, and Yard House.

[July 25 update: According to an article in The Boston Herald, California Pizza Kitchen opens to the public today at MarketStreet Lynnfield.]
